The Olympic Torch Relay in Monaco: a great sporting event open to all
After being relayed by several Monegasque athletes, including F1 racing driver Charles Leclerc, the Olympic flame was welcomed by HSH Prince Albert II, HSH Princess Charlène, both former Olympic athletes, and their children, paying tribute to the Princely Family's Olympic commitment.
A member of the International Olympic Committee, the Sovereign of Monaco took part in the Winter Olympics five times as part of the Principality's bobsleigh team. H.S.H. Princess Charlene also took part in the 2000 Olympic Games as a member of the Australian swimming team.
